Precisionism
Max was driven by a desire to document the mechanical heartbeat of rural America. His pen-and-ink drawings are the result of decades spent exploring the far corners of Idaho and the Midwest, seeking out the monumental silhouettes of grain elevators and weathered factories. Max didn’t just draw these subjects from afar; he frequented tractor trade shows to sketch farm vehicles on-site, striking up conversations with the operators to better understand the machinery he so meticulously rendered. This collection is a sampling from a half-century archive of the industrial and agricultural icons that define the American landscape.
